Pinons is one of the most well-known, welcoming restaurants in the Aspen area. Owner and chef Rob Mobilian is proud to say Pinons has been presented many awards, but the fact that they are known by locals as the most coveted reservation in town is the best award of all.
Speaking of reservations, if you are looking to enjoy the great atmosphere and exquisite cuisine, you might want to call ahead. If possible, a couple days’ notice is not over-planning; this is one of the most popular restaurants in town.
The atmosphere at Pinons is relaxing, sophisticated and modern. The restaurant was recently remodeled with windows that look out over Aspen Mountain. The food is traditional American, and customers both seasonal and local rave about how delicious everything is, from the salads and appetizers to delectable deserts.
What They’re Known for: While Pinons is a little bit on the pricey side, they are known to have a very tasteful wine list with a few reasonably priced options. They are also known for the high quality, attentive services and amazing meals.
What to Watch for: If you go the route of making reservations, make sure you can stick to them. Pinons policy gives them the right to charge $50 per person if reservations are canceled less than 24 hours in advance. This is due to their extremely high volume of customers. Also, the menu is a bit on the pricey side, but the portions and quality of the meal is reflective of this price.
