Grouse On-The-Green is just a short walk down the hill at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. This small, quaint Irish pub has a warm, relaxing interior and an outside deck with an amazing view. The interior was actually designed in Ireland and shipped to the Cordillera to be installed. Grouse On-The Green provides a traditional Irish pub style experience serving Guinness beer, shepherd’s pie, classic fish and chips, and scotch eggs. After a long day of skiing the slopes, The Grouse is a great place to relax for some delicious Irish delicacies and a tall one from the tap. The bartenders are friendly and will treat you like one of the locals.
What They’re Known for: Irish food. The Grouse knows how to do traditional Irish food, but also has traditional bar favorites like wings, antipasto and nachos. The scotch eggs seem to be a favorite amongst reviewers.
What to Watch for: Busy times. The pub is small and the staff is usually pretty sparse. While they are a very friendly and helpful staff, when the pub gets busy, they have a hard time handling the flow. They do use a team effort and make a good valiant effort, but if waiting for your waitress is not your thing, then you should probably go when it is less busy.
