From the minute you walk into Juniper restaurant, you know you’re in for a top-notch dinner. It’s amazing how a white tablecloth and full place settings (side dishes, wine and water glasses, etc.) on an empty table says so much.
And it only gets better with the food. The veal scaloppini is a favorite, but with other options like Colorado rack of lamb, filet mignon, and blue corn crusted rocky mountain trout, it won’t be easy to decide what to eat. The large wine list won’t make it easy to decide what to drink, either.
The front of the restaurant around the bar can get busy and loud, so if you’re looking for a quieter, more intimate dinner, ask to be seated in the back area. If the weather is nice, you’ll even have an open-air view of the great Colorado scenery. Might be a good idea to get a reservation regardless, but especially if you’re looking to sit in the back.
What They’re Known for: There are a lot of things that could be listed here, but the dessert menu and especially Charles’ hot sticky toffee pudding cake wins out.
What to Watch for: With a menu like this in Vail Valley, don’t expect it to be cheap.
