With the fancy Italian food on the menu and an extensive wine list, you’d think Zino Ristorante is a great place for a romantic Italian dinner. You’d be half right. It’s also a great family friendly restaurant, too. The welcoming and warm service is just the start of the great ambience here. The high ceilings, stone wall, spiral staircase, and crisp lines of the décor lets you know that this isn’t your grandfather’s Italian restaurant.
The contemporary take of the food is always unique, but you’ll recognize your favorite dish at the same time. Whether it’s the wood fired pizzas, homemade pasta, mussels, or burrata, you can’t go wrong here. The guests have a hard time choosing a meal, much less a favorite.
Depending on where you’re coming from, you might want to check out Zino’s sister restaurant, Sweet Basil, in Vail.
What They’re Known for: Tuesday nights are Mussel Madness: ½ off mussels all night. During the warmer months, Zino has patio dining and a bocce court for the family to play on.
What to Watch for: Mussel Madness does cause it to be busy on Tuesdays, so if you’re hungry from being on the mountain all day, might want to consider the potential line. Although the dining room looks great, it can get loud from all the hard surfaces used in the décor. And if you’re looking to eat gluten-free, they have homemade pastas for you, but the bread will cost you a buck a slice.
