BreckConnect Gondola Info 

The Breckenridge gondola ascends from the Town of Breckenridge up to the Peak 8 base area. The gondola allows skiers to park at the bottom near Main St. and take the gondola in order to access the mountain and ski trails. This can also be used to travel between the two central areas as well as the Peak 7 mid-station. Lift tickets are not required to ride the gondola.

Skiers and snowboarders can download on the gondola at the end of the day or take the Skyway Skiway trail back to the parking lot. There are two mid-stations for the BreckConnect Gondola. One is located in the Shock Hill residential area and the second is located on Peak 7.

Gondola Directions and Parking

The main gondola parking lot can be accessed from North Park Avenue rd. To get here from Frisco and I70; take Rt 9 South. As you enter into the Breckenridge area, veer right at the first roundabout to stay on Rt 9 (this is also N. Park Ave).

There are multiple parking lots between N Park Ave. and Main Street. There are also several auxiliary parking lots that are utilized once the main lots are full. You can see more info about parking in Breckenridge here – Parking in Breckenridge.

Closest Lodging to the Gondola

Mountain Thunder Lodge – This ski lodge is located near the bottom of the gondola, within walking distance from the base area gondola station. The lodge is also located right on the Skyway Skiway trail so guests can easily ski down to their accommodations at the end of the day.

One Ski Hill Place – The top of the gondola is located right next to this upscale ski lodge. One Ski Hill place has some of the best hotel amenities in Breckenridge, and its location is one of the best. Click on the link below for more info.

Crystal Peak Lodge – Located on Peak 7, this lodge has direct access to the hill as well as the BreckConnect Gondola (via mid-station).

Does the Breckenridge gondola operate during the summer months?

Yes, however hours are seasonal and may vary.

Can I bring my mountain bike inside of the Gondola?

Yes, however there will still be one more chairlift ride before you can hit the mountain biking trails. I suppose that if you wanted to, you could bring a road bike just to enjoy the descent from the top of the gondola down Ski Hill Road.

How far is the walk to the gondola from Main Street?

This will depend on exactly where you are on Main St. The walk can be as short as 1-2 minutes. Most of downtown Breckenridge is located within 5-7 blocks of the gondola.
