This is the place to load up on calories before you burn them off on the slopes. Only opened for breakfast, The Blue Moose isn’t fancy, but that doesn’t keep it from being busy. The tasty, traditional breakfasts at normal, non-ski resort prices keep this breakfast hot spot hopping.
And if you need a little hair of the dog to help you fully recover from a late night, they’ve got you covered with mimosas and three different bloody Marys.
What They’re Known for: The Moose takes it back to basics when it comes to doing things well, and you don’t get much more basic for breakfast than coffee. Organically grown, fair trade coffee beans are locally roasted to make a great cup of joe. Another breakfast staple: pancakes. Big and fluffy, you can’t go wrong, but you can up the ante with some real maple syrup.
What to Watch for: A rarity today, this is a cash-only establishment. There is an ATM on-site if you do forget, but it comes with a $5 service fee. Also, the Moose can get very busy, so get there early or be prepared to wait a bit. Most of the customers are looking for a quick meal, though, so the wait probably won’t be too long.
