Stella’s Hungry Horse might not look like much from the outside—after all, it is a food truck—but nevertheless their food is rated among the best in Breckenridge. Stella’s offers healthy, eclectic foods at a reasonable price, making it perfect for a quick lunch in between runs. It is a few blocks from the ski lifts, but again the food truck setup makes it an accessible spot even in full gear. In addition to the quality food, Stella’s also is ethically-conscious; it is privately owned and operated, food is locally sourced and a portion of all proceeds are donated to horse rescues.
What They’re Known for: Stella’s is known for their quality food. The burgers have been rated among the best in Breckenridge, competing with high-class restaurants. For those who aren’t a fan of burgers, there are a number of specialty sandwiches, gyros, wild game and vegetarian options available as well.
What to Watch for: While the food is excellent, dedicated seating is pretty limited. On the other hand, if you spent almost all your money at the bar, this is a great cheap place to grab a bite on the way back to your room.
