Casa Sanchez

Address: 189 Ten Mile Circle, Copper Mountain
Hours: 11a-9p
Family owned and operated, Casa Sanchez has made its mark in Copper Mountain as the place to go for generous quantities of reasonably-priced food. There’s something for everyone on this menu, with a typical selection of Mexican fare: burritos, tacos, enchiladas and fajitas. There are vegetarian options, a burrito for seafood lovers and several steak and chicken dishes for those who like their beans and rice with a healthy serving of red meat or poultry. You can even get breakfast with a Mexican twist, eggs served with tortillas, rice and beans and a special sauce. Fussy eaters in the younger set can enjoy more typical American favorites–hamburgers, grilled cheese, corn dogs or chicken nuggets.
What They’re Known for: An extensive array of excellent (and large) margaritas delivered quickly. Most food portions are also really big, so you may want to share or choose a meal that you’d enjoy eating again the next day. Their lunch combinations do come in three sizes to accommodate a range of appetites, with accompaniment of rice and your choice of refried or black beans.
What to Watch for: Long waits for tables at busiest times and slow service. This is probably not the restaurant you want to visit if you’re in a hurry, but it’s the perfect spot for a leisurely, casual family meal. If you’re chilled to the bone after a day on the slopes, you’ll probably enjoy the restaurants warmer-than-usual temperatures; otherwise, dress in light clothes or layers so you’ll be comfortable.
