Recommended Crested Butte Restaurants
While there are some good spots on the mountain, such as 9380 and Avalanche, the town of Crested Butte is where it’s at. Elk Avenue, their main street, has an avalanche of great places to eat, from many different culinary traditions, both large and small. Where do you want to go? Well that depends on a lot of things, and we have some suggestions/reviews below. If you want pizza, you are going to be lured in many directions, but the ski bums like the Stash, and we tend to agree. We were told all about Ryce, but never got a chance to try it. If you are in town a few days, you’ll probably bounce around and find the spot for your group. Do call in advance if you know you want a certain spot. These places are plenty big, but if the snow is good a lot of people can come crashing down on your favorite spot.
Remember there are free buses to/from the mountain every 30 minutes, so there is really no reason to drive if you have been drinking.
