Brick Oven Pizzeria & Pub

When you’re craving pizza in an unfamiliar area, the best way to find the best pie in town is to ask a local. Brick Oven Pizzeria & Pub is the choice of many year-round residents. It doesn’t pretend to be more than it is, but does the basics–big burgers, brick-fired pizza and subs with locally made sausage–very well. Don’t worry if there’s a vegetarian and/or someone who’s gone gluten-free in your group–the restaurant can accommodate their preferences. There’s indoor seating, but when weather permits most people gravitate to the outdoor patio, where you can enjoy views of the sunset or of the parade of locals and visitors moving along the busy streets of Crested Butte. Most important for weary skiers, Brick Oven Pizzeria will deliver, so if you don’t feel like going out you get dressed in your comfiest clothes and enjoy a pie at your hotel or condo.
What They’re Known for: A truly astounding assortment of beers. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just enjoy sampling something new, you’ll have a hard time choosing among their changing daily beer specials (plus 30 constantly rotating taps). But you can ask the staff for help; they know their beers.
What to Watch for: You may have a short wait if you hit the Brick Oven at prime time. The restaurant is popular and often packed with families enjoying a casual meal. Prices for a pizza may be a bit higher than what you’re accustomed to paying at home, but they’re right in line with the other restaurants in this resort area.
