City of Denver Zoo Information

The Denver Zoo is located in the Denver City Park. This is the same area of the city where you will find the City Municipal Golf Course and the Denver Natural Science Museum.

Summer Zoo Visitor Entrance Fees

Visitor fees in the winter months will be slightly lower.

Denver City Zoo Hours of Operation

In the summer the zoo gates are open for admission between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. All visitors will be asked to leave the premises by 6 p.m. Hours of operation throughout the winter (Nov. 1 to Feb. 28th) are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Denver Zoo Parking

All of the parking at the Denver Zoo is free. The main parking lot and underground parking structure both have free parking that is available to all Denver Zoo visitors.

The parking garage entrance is located within the same area as the regular parking lot. Just enter the main parking area and turn to your right; this will allow you to enter the underground parking garage where you can park for free (Pictured to the right).

Yes, you can schedule birthday parties, corporate picnics, and more events at the Denver Zoo.

Do children get free admission?

Yes, Children under the age of two will receive free admission into the Denver Zoo.

The zoo will typically receive between 1.5 million and 1.6 million visitors each year.
