Mogul Skiing

Keystone Mogul Skiing

Lots of the trails on North Peak are only partially groomed, so there is usually some great mogul lines here. You can see a view of the North Peak from the top of Dercum Mountain below.

One of the more popular mogul trails at Keystone is Elk Run. Most of the trail is groomed, however there is a large space on the side of the trail underneath of the lift where there is typically plenty of moguls. You will see this trail directly underneath the Outback Express. Elk Run is pictured in the photo below.

You can also find moguls on many of the black diamond ski trails that are located on The Outback. These are trails like The Griss and Badger.

If you are on vacation in the Keystone area and you are looking for great mogul skiing, be sure to check out Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. These ski areas are located close by and they are better known for their mogul skiing.

The video below has some mogul skiing helmet cam footage that was shot under the Montezuma Express lift at Keystone. The video starts with some footage from the Area 51 Terrain Park.
