Morningside Park at Steamboat

morningside park

Morningside Park is located on the backside of Mt. Werner; Steamboat’s highest mountain peak. There is lots of ungroomed glade skiing in this bowl area, but the terrain is not as steep as the front side of Mt. Werner. That is where you will find the steepest ski terrain at Steamboat.

Morningside Park has lots of terrain that is suitable for intermediate skiers. This can be a fun place to ski or ride if you are interested in skiing fresh snow in the trees, but you don’t want to ski down any black diamond runs.

The Morningside Park area can be accessed from the top of Storm Peak or the top of Sunshine Peak. The Morningside Chairlift also provides the best way to access all of the chutes that are on the front side of Mt. Werner.
