If you’re looking for an exotic treat, Sumatera is the place to be. The restaurant is open for dinner and boasts a delicious, plentiful, exotic menu with flavors from Japan, the Indonesian Islands, Thailand, and Singapore. The mouthwatering plates are offered in a great atmosphere that is bubbly and full of laughter. Whether you want to come in for an appetizer and drink or enjoy a romantic dinner with your spouse, you will love being here.
What They’re Known for: Many patrons enjoy the Panang curry. The dish has a nice kick to it but is not overly powerful. The portions are large so you definitely get your money worth and lunch for the next day. In addition to the curry, the spring rolls are another favorite. The spring rolls come wrapped with vermicelli, cucumber, avocado, carrots, and your choice of tofu, shrimp, or chicken.
What to Watch for: The dining room. One of the many things that takes customers aback is the size of the dining room. The room is small and only seats a small number of guests at a time, but this type of mild inconvenience is usually worth tolerating for the food. Since the restaurant is small, it’s also advised that you make reservations prior to going so you have a reserved seat.
Another thing to keep an eye on is the spice level of the dishes. Many of the dishes are rated from one to five on a level of spicy. Choosing five and not knowing it could mean your taste buds are going on a roller coaster.
