Snowboarding Playlists for 2014
By Matt Myers
First off, it can be *kinda* peligroso to board with earbuds blaring. So there. We’ve said our piece.
For those who live on the edge and like to rock out on the snow, we’ve pulled together some mixes from everywhere you’d think and a few places you might not have. You can pick and choose what suits you.

To those like us who like to keep it Colorado, look no further than our own Derek Vincent Smith, AKA Pretty Lights. There is absolutely NO snowboarding or skiing playlist that would be complete without some of his cuts. So whatever you put in your playist, make sure it has some Pretty. Plus, he might actually have the coolest website I’ve ever seen.
Want some of his music? Well, you can get pretty much all of it for FREE. Now tell me you don’t love our Colorado brother.
WhoaSnow’s 2013-14 Playlist
Our friend Dan Mensinger over at WhoaSnow has been putting out a Snowboarder’s Playlist the last couple years. He puts them on GrooveShark so you can listen right from a webpage. His 2013-14 Playlist is live below. He has some Pretty Lights in there, just like a good snowboarding playlist should.
Here is WhoaSnow’s playlist from last year.
Half Pipe Legend
An A-list playlist wouldn’t be complete without some tunes from the absolute Truth on a board. So here is the soundtrack to the Shaun White Snowboarding Game on Xbox 360 from last.fm. If you don’t have the game, I think the playlist is going to surprise you. It surprises me, and I’ve been to six county fairs and a goat roping.
Oh okay, here’s a link to buy the game.
Colorado ski authority playlists
CSA Scholarship winner and sterling artist Saige Mateo sent us her favorite boarding jams. They are pretty electic and mature for a woman of 20 years. We are going to have to get a closer look at that driver’s license. She gets a pass for not having any Pretty Lights.
