Located inside the Racquet Club Resort in East Vail, this may not sound like a place where you can get a reasonably affordable meal. But there it is. Blu’s Restaurant. Vail’s attempt to offer a fine-dining experience at a mid-tier price.
Having moved to East Vail from the Valley, this place already had a small following and reputation. Some of the past regulars will tell you that the service staff isn’t the same as the old place, but the food is still good. And that’s a good way to think of it: affordable fine-dining that skimps on that extra level of attentiveness. Other people might think of it as casual and fine-dining fusion. For the menu offers a familiar selection of pizza, salads, and sandwiches, as well as more exquisite entrée choices. A perfect choice for groups of people with different budgets in mind.
What They’re Known for: Within this traditionally American menu, you can find a few items that you’re not likely to come across just anywhere. We recommend you try the gypsy schnitzel or Joe’s three-egg frittata. If you’re looking for a break from the prices in the Valley then dining at Blu’s Restaurant in East Vail could be a great option for a great breakfast or dinner.
What to Watch for: The service here seems to be hit or miss, but again part of this is just the mixed culture that the restaurant attracts.
