Lancelot Restaurant is a restaurant that includes a bar located in the heart of Vail Village. They offer their award-winning prime rib every night along with an array of other delicacies. The owner and chef, Werner Schadl, is from Austria and proudly keeps the restaurant’s heritage alive and well by serving traditional Austrian dishes such as Wiener Schnitzel and apple strudel. This wonderful menu is accompanied also by a considerably excellent wine list.
Being a locally owned restaurant, Lancelot has a lot to offer in the way of atmosphere both for couples looking for a romantic evening and families looking for a great meal in a family-oriented setting. The prices are not outrageous for the quality of the food served, and the wait staff are always striving to provide the best service to each and every diner.
What They’re Known for: Lancelot is famous for being Vail’s original prime rib house, proud to serve an award winning prime rib night after night. This has been their trademark dish since 1969, slow cooked for 14 hours to perfection. Visitors of Vail cannot miss out on this delectable, mouthwatering masterpiece.
What to Watch for: It can get busy during peak dinner times and more so during different times of year. If you are going to be visiting Vail during a time of year with high tourist traffic, you should consider making a reservation, which can be done over the phone or through their website.
