The Fitz is one of the most recognized and relaxed restaurants throughout Vail. But don’t confuse relaxed with boring. You can still enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience here. The scenery is beautiful, and the restaurant proudly boasts a deck that allows patrons to sit creekside and a fireplace inside with a crackling flame. Whether you want to come here to relax and have a wine after work or you and your lover are on a romantic date, The Fitz is where it’s at. Many guests enjoy coming to The Fitz before and after events at the local Ford Amphitheatre as the restaurant sits near the path to the event center.
What They’re Known for: Their food. One of the reasons locals love The Fitz is because of their dressed up bar foods. One of the local favorites is the lobster taco which has chunks of tender lobster that are placed inside of a tortilla and topped with avocado, cilantro, and a lobster cream. Another favorite is the beer cheese dog that comes on a pretzel bun.
What to Watch for: Thursday and Friday nights. The Fitz is well-known for their exciting atmosphere and on Thursday and Friday nights, you will find live music playing in the background for you to enjoy or even dance to. Also, if you are in town during the summer, keep your eye out for their Taco Tuesday specials. The deck area does fill up quickly with patrons so try to arrive early to snag an awesome seat.
