Should I try ski biking?
If you are nervous about skiing and asking yourself the question “should I try ski biking?” just as a way to be involved in these sports, I applaud your gumption. Here is what you need to know.
First, snow biking or ski biking is just a ton of fun. It’s weird and uncommon and you will like it. It doesn’t matter if you are good at water skiing or biking, because this business is totally different. Second, solid wrecks, which aren’t as common, are likely to hurt worse because you have this big hunk of bike between your legs. Don’t let this discourage you, as most ski biking activity happens on easier terrain (greens and blues) where wrecks are less common and speed is less.
We would recommend that attend ski school and lessons before jumping to conclusions. Or tag along behind some other ski bikers and see what they are doing before you go big yourself.
But as with any snow sport, it’s best to just go out there and try it. Snow is much softer than most other types of ground you can fall to, so take advantage of this.
